Easy Grammar REVIEW

It seems like every year we are in need of language arts materials. I'm not sure why that is, but it happens EVERY year! Craziness I tell ya! Craziness! This year we were blessed when Easy Grammar Systems sent us Daily GRAMS: Grade 7 for review in our homeschool.

For this review, we received a physical cope of the Teacher Edition book. This contains reproducible student pages and tests in the front of the book, and the answers in the back of the book. I just let Mr. B write directly in the book. If you have multiple children, you can make copies. For us, it is super convenient to just write directly in the book.

There are 180 daily reviews that cover Capitalization to Grammar and other concepts such as analogies, dictionary skills, sentence types, letters, text components and more. This is a paper back book.  For younger students, Daily Grams cover down to grade 3!

Our experience

We have taken a pretty straight forward approach with this. I simply have Mr. B do a lesson each day. If he misses a day, no big deal-we just do two lessons the next day. The lessons are short and sweet, so it's easy to only spend 10-15mins a day on this, and move on to the next task.

The pages are not fancy or full of graphics. They are just plain black and white text, with plenty of room for your child to use the space provided for answers.
Mr. B actually asks to do his Daily GRAMS! He isn't overwhelmed with the amount of work, nor is he distracted by any superfluous stuff on the pages. This really great if you child is easily distracted by graphics on the pages!

Overall, we really like this. It is a great supplemental item to have in our homeschool. I really like not having to fight with Mr. B to get his langiage arts work completed, and I like that the lesson pages are short and to the point, and cover a wide variety of topics each day. He's much less likely to get bored while doing this because of the variety. I also like the repetition that's included within the pages, but it's not boring or overwhelming. We would definitely recommend this to others!

Does Easy Grammar Systems Daily GRAMS: 7 Pass My 4 Ingredient Test?

1.) Customization: Is it easily adaptable? Can we customize it to fit “us?” Can we modify or set our own schedule? Can we take breaks, jump ahead, or flat out skip?

This is a physical product, and you can go at your own pace. You could skip around, but I always advise moving in the normal order.

2.) Value: Is it long lasting? Will it cover multiple grade ranges? Are you locked in to one specific grade level? Are there hidden fees?

This will cover a full year, and the pages are reproducible.
3.) Attention span: Is it boring? Is it engaging? Is it varied enough for ADHD? Does it last too long?

The lessons are very short, and varied even within the lesson. It's great for ADHD, in my opinion, because there are no distractions on the pages.

4.) Does it tie into other things we already have.

This is strictly a language arts book.
