Picture book "Nothing" REVIEW

Picture books are the backbone to any homeschool, or any home with children in my opinion. I love a fun, or beautifully written picture book, and Mr. B still enjoys them. Princess J of course is the right at the perfect age for picture books, so when the review for Nothing by Natalee Creech came around, I really hoped I'd get it for Princess J. Published by WorthyKids, an imprint of Hatchette Book Group, Nothing is a beautiful picture book that talks about God's love being there all the time, no matter what.

For this review, we received one hardback, beautifully illustrated book.

As I mentioned above, Nothing is a wonderfully and beautifully illustrated hardback picture book that serves as a reassuring reminder to young children that nothing can separate them from God's love and grace. Often times, children misbehave and worry they aren't loved because we may be angry for a moment. Or sometimes children may feel if they travel far off, they are forgotten or leaving everything they hold near and dear. Children need reassurance that God's love is far and wide, and stretches to the ends of the Universe, and beyond. They need to feel and understand that nothing they do can ever take away his love for them. And at the same time, as parents and caregivers, it is also important for our children to know that our love for them will also be there, through thick and thin, during the good times, and the bad, and even if we are angry-even if they are in time out or we take away privileges, we aren't doing so because we don't love them. Instead, we are doing so because we love them, and want the best for them.

Princess J loves the pictures in this lovely book. They are so very colorful and vivid, with the story words in cute fonts that add to the overall look and appeal of the graphics. Even Mr. B enjoyed cuddling up and reading with us, reminder her that no matter what he brother would always love her and be there for her. I feel it is so very important to build a child up from a young age, empower them to know they matter and are loved so that when they do do wrong things, they aren't afraid to talk to you about them. They aren't afraid they won't be loved, instead they will know that love is always there to help them, and guide them through life's ups and downs. That's exactly what this book does. It helps build children up so that they will not veer away from God, but instead they will go to Him, and His love, with their ups and downs for guidance and help.

Overall, we have all loved this book. It's very well written with easy to read and understand language. The illustrations are beautiful and captivating. Definitely recommending this to others! Here are a few more photos!

Here is a close up of the cover. It's so cute!

Mr. B claims that is him, and one of our dogs haha! To be fair, it really does kind of look like one of our dogs.

This is probably one of my favorite spreads. I love the differing scenes here on the train!
