These puppies are the joys of my life at the moment.Silver is one of the more uncommon colors for a standard Goldendoodle. I think because they're born black, people just assume they're going to stay that color, but they aren't! These guys will shock you with that color change!
It has been a great educational and homeschool experience raising these puppies, and researching all about them BEFORE breeding. Would you believe the one there on the bottom left is actually PLATINUM under that fur coat she has?! It's TRUE! Mr. B has had a lot of fun researching the taxonomy of dogs, and cats, looking into the genetics of dogs, why some shed and some do not (ours do not!) etc. It's really been a great experience for us! These are lessons he will carry with him forever because they're real life, happening now in our home, kind of lessons. All of the dogs (Mom, pups, papa bear) are all raised in our home-Even though the picture of mom shows her in the snow HA! I just love that picture! She had such a great time playing!! Just look at those snowballs around her face from where she was trying to eat it HA! so Mr. B has been surrounding with opportunities to keep learning.
Recently we screened them for service training ability. It's been a great experience for Mr. B to learn about training dogs, behavior modification, problem behaviors, behavioral signs, and more. There's a few steps to take before deciding a puppy should go on to service training. The 5 remaining ALL pass these screening, but 1 is a little more timid on the recovery test. It could have been because he was overly stressed after having just had an unexpected bath, and he was tired. They all did VERY well, and I'm super proud of them. In my opinion, there's no better dog than a doodle! Please check out Mimi's Oodles of Doodles for tons more photos and vidoes! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
