My Thoughts

Sydney Tooman Betts is by far one of my most favorite authors. Her stories are so real, and so unbelievably good that no review from me could ever do them justice. I was first introduced to her through A River Too Deep. That book spoke to me in ways I can't really begin to explain. I saw so much of myself in that book, and my was if she had a window straight into my world and wrote directly to me. Then I read Light Bird's Song (review still to's been a rough year friends...) And this was such a difficult read for me because of the storyline and the parallels to my own life. I often find that it's those difficult books that mean the most to me, and that is why I love this series so much. Straight Flies the Arrow is no exception. The characters are so deep, and the story line is so rich that you become immersed in the book, as if you are truly there.

While this book is the 3rd book in the series, you can read it as a stand alone, but I truly recommend reading the first two simply because they are so amazing. These aren't just easy, mindless books to read in a few hours on a rainy day. These are deep, meaningful, and thought provoking books that really make you take a step back and think, and evaluate life. Thank You, Sydney Tooman Betts, for another wonderful experience. It has been truly appreciated.

**I received a copy of this free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I wasn't required to write a positive review, nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.**
